Step-by-Step

From the Home Screen Navigate to: Data Collection→ Standalone Data Collection

  1. Setup Checklist verifies: 
    1. App is connected to Bad Elf
    2. Pole height is accurate
    3. Orthometric model used
      Info
      Select proper orthometric height model
      GEOID18 for RTK in US
      USGG2012 for SBAS in US
    4. Project name is set if desired

  2. Log instant point: The name is incremented based on what is entered as the point name prefix.

  3. Point name prefix: Tap to change the point name prefix.

  4. Log named point: Log a point outside of instant point increments. Here you can designate a separate named point.

  5. Tilt-filtered point logging: Log a point with a specified tilt tolerance.

  6. Log timed point: Log a timed point that meets the configured accuracy, epoch, and averaging requirements.

  7. Adjust: Accuracy, epoch, and averaging settings for your requirements.

  8. Start/stop track logging: Record points on your Flex over time until you press the stop button. Track logging will also automatically be stopped upon device power down.

  9. Adjust: Accuracy and epoch settings for your requirements.



  10. Start Raw Point Logging: Capture a raw log suitable for post-processing tools like OPUSExtreme mode is required.
